With a PhD in phycology (study of algae) and over 17 years of experience in biotechnology, Doron brings deep expertise in microalgae biology and applied science. As CEO of BarAlgae and founder of Quatica, he has led the development of proprietary cultivation and downstream technologies, driving innovation from lab to market. Doron guides the company’s expansion into bioactives for cosmetics and other industries, combining scientific insight with strategic leadership. He enjoys working across disciplines and is also an avid cyclist.

Ilan is an Operations Executive with a Master’s degree in Financial Economics, bringing a deep understanding of market dynamics to operational leadership. With a BSc in marine biotechnology and over five years of hands-on experience in microalgae cultivation, he manages the culture bank and leads both cultivation and downstream processing. Combining biological expertise with curiosity-driven innovation, he continuously explores new approaches to enhance growth and product quality in marine-based production systems. In his free time, he enjoys scuba diving, cooking, and volunteering in a sea turtle preservation project.
Noga Ratz
QA Manager
With a background in marine biology and strong expertise in quality assurance and regulatory compliance, Noga leads QA/QC processes to ensure products meet the highest industry standards. Her work spans certification frameworks, documentation protocols, and continuous process improvement—driving operational excellence and product integrity. Noga is a certified skipper, she also volunteers as a sailing instructor for people with special needs, bringing precision, dedication, and heart to everything she does, both on and off the water.
